1. Recording Settings

Click on the settings button on the toolbar above the software and select "Record Setting" (7.1.1);

Duration:

  • The default setting for recording duration is 60 seconds. If the "Limit Time" checkbox is selected, it indicates that the set recording duration is enabled. When recording dynamic capture data, the software will automatically stop recording once the displayed recording duration reaches the set time.

Split Record:

  • When it is necessary to record data for a long time, we recommend that users use the split record function. The Split Record function can package data that needs to be continuously recorded according to the preset duration. This can prevent recording large files that cannot be loaded properly due to computer performance issues during editing.

  • Enable the "Split Record" function to automatically record data, and manually enter the duration for each split. The default duration is ten minutes. The time unit for splits is minutes. Once the split recording reaches the set duration, it will automatically start a new file. The recording file name will increment from 1, and the split recording files will be saved in the current working path until the stop recording button is manually clicked. Alternatively, it can be used in conjunction with "Limit Time" for added convenience.

Name Index:

  • The function of adding serial numbers to the recorded file name can be set, and the name serial number function is enabled by default. If you do not need to increment the number when recording a file, you can go to XINGYING Settings > Recording Setting > Name Index and uncheck the name number function. After unchecking this function, users can enter the name of the recording file themselves. After recording, the file will no longer have a name number increment, and the number increment function displayed on the software interface will also disappear.

  • Please note that after canceling the name and serial number function, you cannot enable split record. Once split record is enabled, the name and serial number function cannot be canceled.

Video Type:

  • XINGYING supports two formats for recording reference videos: "AVI" and "MP5". It is necessary to connect a USB camera to the computer and check "Reference Video" during recording.

Reference Video OSD:

  • When selected, the resolution and frame rate of the USB camera will be displayed in the reference video view.

Encoding hardware acceleration:

  • Increase the frame rate of the reference video, which significantly increases CPU usage upon successful activation.
